Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Visits
Chairperson: Pat Bodette Cheerful visits to our fellow parishioners living in these facilities help them stay connected to IHM. Visitors go to visit as their time allows, once or twice per month.

Dean Home
Chairpersons: Dorothy Camfield or Mary Pringle
Located on East Dean Avenue, Dean Home is a residential care facility for 8 chronically mentally ill adults. Volunteers visit, help with birthdays and other special event parties, treat with lunches out and movies, bring in food, magazines, and send greeting cards throughout the year. Most especially, love and friendship are extended.

Communion Ministry to the Homebound Chairperson: Mary Haukereid IHM offers regular Communion distribution by trained lay ministers. Frequency depends upon the wants of the homebound person. Please contact Mary if you would like to become a minister, or if you would like Communion brought to your home.

Ministry of Praise Chairperson: Shelby Guerin This is a spiritual ministry in which parishioners who may be restricted by age or ill health pray daily for the needs of the parish, the world, individuals who are experiencing problems, or in thanksgiving for prayers answered. Each month, they receive by mail a list of prayer intentions. Members receive a certificate, a cross, and a book of prayers when they are commissioned.

Sunshine Greeting Card Ministry Chairperson: Iline Marking This ministry involves no meetings. You can do this from your home. Members send cards to the sick and the elderly to mark special occasions, and to other parishioners to mark special events, or just to let them know we are thinking about them.
