St. Anne's Society
The St. Anne's Society consists of the women of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, striving for the best in our lives, our Church, and our community. Our patron is St. Anne, mother of Mary and patroness of housewives. Though we come from different backgrounds, we share the following objectives as members of St. Anne's Society:
1) To unite the women of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in religious, civic, educational, and social activities. 2) To assist the pastor in spiritual and material undertakings for the welfare of the parish. 3) To further spiritual and material undertakings which may be recommended by the Society of the Madison Deanery.
St. Anne's meetings are typically held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:45 p.m. in Marian Hall (school cafeteria). We invite guest speakers to speak on various topics of interest, we hold a business meeting, and there is time for socialization.
We raise funds that help the parish in many ways. Fundraisers include our after-Mass bake sales and our annual fall Holiday Bazaar. We also provide support to St. Vincent de Paul and St. Stephen's Food Pantries, and the Christian Fund for Children and the Aging. In addition, we hold a baby shower each May to benefit Pregnancy Helpline.
All women of the parish are invited to join us - this is a great way to meet other women and become involved in the parish. 2010-11 Officers: President: Janice Zwettler (608-221-9778)
